About Our Range

In January 2005, we introduced our Eat Well sunflower logo to help make it easier for our customers to eat a healthy, balanced diet. The sunflower logo is used across all M&S foods to highlight the healthier option at a glance. The simplicity of the sunflower also means that we can use it on hospitality menus e.g. Café to highlight the healthier choices.

For products to be labelled with the Eat Well sunflower logo, they must meet strict category specific nutrition criteria. The approach has been developed around the Eat Well Plate so products labelled include the healthier choice within each of the food groups e.g. wholemeal bread, skinless chicken, skimmed and semi-skimmed milk and low fat yogurts.

We also use the Eat Well sunflower across our range of prepared food including prepared meals, salads and sandwiches. There are strict nutrition criteria in place for these products too which are based on current Government guidelines for calories, fat, saturated fat, added sugar and salt.

We now have a large number of foods labelled with the eat well sunflower across our ranges, which makes shopping for a healthy diet for the family a whole lot easier
